Air Quality

The Business Environmental Program (BEP) is a resource available to help small businesses understand and comply with environmental regulations. Many businesses generate air pollutants that are monitored by federal and state agencies and require the business to have special permits. Many small business owners may not fully understand environmental regulations and may not have the resources to hire an environmental consultant to determine if their business operation requires an air permit. The Nevada Business Environmental Program (BEP) is here to help answer your questions related to air quality and air quality permitting. BEP staff can:

  • Answer your questions over the phone regarding hazardous waste;
  • Perform a site visit to help assess regulatory compliance and to provide guidance to return to compliance (free and confidential)
  • Assist in understanding the regulations.
  • Assist in understanding the permitting process.
